- September 1998 - December 2003: Telecommunications Engineer in Universidad de Valladolid
- September 2003 - Present: PhD Student in the Computer architecture Department at the UPC
Isaac was born on February 28, 1980, in Zamora, Spain, where he lived until 1992. When living on Zamora he went to Corazón de María School. In 1992, his parents moved to Salamanca, where he lived until September 1998. In Salamanca he studied on the San José de Calasanz School. In this school he received his first classes about computers and learnt the basics of programming. During these years he also started playing basketball in the school's team and took some guitar lessons, which currently are, besides computers, his two favorite hobbies. In 1996 Isaac got the radio-amateur diploma, and had his radio-station license (EC1AQD), which now is on Muga de Alba (his father's home town). Although he really loves the radio, currently he only can use it when he is in his parent's house, during Christmas and Summer vacation.
On September 1998, he moved to Valladolid to study Telecommunications Engineering in the Universidad de Valladolid. The first three years he lived on the Colegio Mayor Menéndez Pelayo where he became the network administrator and organized several events about computers. On April 2002, during his fourth year at university, he started working as scholarship holder in Telefónica I+D, where he was working until July 2004. On December 2003, he read his Master Thesis, a distributed sniffer based on CORBA, which he licensed as GPL.
On September 2004, he moved to Barcelona, where is currently living, to start his PhD studies at the Computer Architecture Department in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. He currently continues studying his PhD and on September 2005, he became collaborator professor and researcher in the same department.
On August 2005, he visited for the first time the Center for Reliable and High-Performance Computing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to collaborate with the IMPACT Reserach Group. He continues collaborating with the IMPACT group and visits the CRHC from time to time.
