Biography
Llorenç Cerdà obtained the engineering degree in telecommunications in
1993 from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He joined the
Computer Architecture Department of UPC in 1994, presented the PhD
Thesis entitled
"Traffic Management of the ABR Service Category in ATM Networks"
in january' 2000 and currently he is Associate Professor. His areas of
interest include: Wireless LANs, wireless ad-hoc networks,
QoS in wireless ad-hoc networks, wireless mesh networks, TCP/IP,
performance evaluation, queueing networks, C++ programming and simulation
of computer networks. He
has published a substantial number of papers
in international conferences. He has participated in several EU funded
research projects
(EXPERT,
COST-257, MOEBIUS,
WIDENS, COST-279,
EuroNGI), research projects in
collaboration with Nokia (TESI), and the startup SouthWing.
