Marcelo Yannuzzi Sanchez    

Biography    

He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of the Republic, Uruguay, in 2001, and the DEA (MSc) and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Architecture (DAC), Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain, in 2005 and 2007, respectively.

He is with the Broadband Communications Research Group (CBA) and with the Advanced Network Architectures Lab (CRAAX) at the Department of Computer Architecture in UPC, where he is an assistant professor.

He held previous positions as an assistant professor with the Physics Department of the School of Engineering, University of the Republic, Uruguay, from 1997 to 2003, and with the Electrical Engineering Department of the same School from 2003 until 2006. He worked in the industry for ten years at the national Telco in Uruguay (from 1993 to 2003).

His current research interests are in the areas of inter-domain routing, traffic engineering, route control, and stability, in IP and optical networks.
