Secure systems are another focus of my current research. Research topics include the design of secure microarchitectures, secure communications, and AI-driven detection of hardware attacks using performance counters on RISC-V. From 2019 to 2022, part of this research was carried out within the DRAC project (a €4M effort on open architectures in Catalonia) and contributed to the Red-RISCV Spanish RISC-V network. Since 2023, it has been part of the Vitamin-V Horizon Europe project. Since 2026, this line continues in the WISE4 Horizon Europe project (AI-based detection of Web 4.0 attacks).
